Eminem's new album - Posted by Denz on Tuesday, August 31 2004
Eminem’s ‘Encore’ Scheduled For November

Two and a half years since ‘The Eminem Show’ and it would seem Marshall Mathers III is finally ready to step back into the spotlight. Arguably the biggest rap star in the world will release fourth album ‘Encore’ on November 16.

Currently no more details are available, such as the first single or the sure-to-be-huge list of collaborators. ‘Encore’ is set for release around the same time as another Eminem project: A collection of unreleased Tupac tracks with Marshall in the producer’s seat.

In other Em-related news, his band D12 had earned three MTV Video Music Award nominations but left this weekend’s award ceremony empty-handed. Cue: Angry hip-hop face and gangsat pose.

Eminem gets no dinner - Posted by Denz on Saturday, August 21 2004
A Florida restaurant recently refused to serve dinner to hip-hop and rap star Eminem because of bad behaviour.

The rapper spent time at theme park Walt Disney World's Ritz-Carlton Orlando with his eight-year-old daughter Hailie and mentor Dr Dre, but was virtually thrown out from the Ritz restaurant because of "rude and obnoxious" behaviour.

Added a source, speaking to the US Weekly: "Their bodyguards threw one of the waiters into a plant, causing him to fall on the floor. We said we didn't need their business. Plus, they were dressed terribly!"

HBO to air 8 Mile - Posted by Denz on Friday, August 20 2004
HBO will air the film debut of rap star Eminem 8 Mile on 21 August at 9 pm with repeats on 26 August at 11 pm, 6 September at 11:30 pm and on 14 September at 6:45 pm.

The film is loosely based on Eminem's life story -a white man trying to break into a black dominated arena. The film's title refers to a gritty stretch of road in inner-city Detroit that separates the haves from the have-nots.

Eminem's character Jimmy "Rabbit" Smith lives in a trailer home with his drunken washed-out mother Stephanie plaued by Oscar winner Kim Basinger L.A. Confidential. He's stuck in a dead-end job as a factory drone and wants out. The only way he knows is through his budding talent as a rap artist--- not easy when he's the white kid trying hard to make music in a predominantly African-American community.
