Video rehab - Posted by Denz on Tuesday, November 29 2005
MTV News and People report that our homey Eminem believes that what doesn't kill you makes for a good video.

Out of rehab for a reported dependency on sleep medication, he has done a video for his new song "When I'm Gone" that centers on the experience.

Em, 33, is seen in what appears to be a Narcotics Anonymous meeting. He steps up to the podium to speak to the group, saying, "My name is Marshall." The video also illustrates other lyrics from the track, including a description of his daughter, Hailie, trying to block the door to keep Eminem from leaving.

"When I'm Gone" is on Em's greatest-hits collection, "Curtain Call," which is due out Dec. 6.

Eminem fans can get an early taste of his upcoming best of album, Curtain Call.

The rapper has promised two new tracks on the record, and has generously made one of them available to listen to on his website. When I’m Gone deals with his disillusionment with the music industry and suggests that it has taken him away from his daughter. It makes a references to his much-publicised use of sleeping pills and further fuels those retirement rumours by including the line "Shady's rock-a-bye baby".

The track will appear on the album, due out on December 5, alongside classics including Stan, My Name Is, The Way I Am and Lose Yourself.

"I have some songs that a lot of people like,” says Em. “I have some songs that only I like. This album is obviously for the ‘lot’ of people."
