I don’t want to do it your way,
Feelings confusing me so much,
Try to stick to my principles,
But they’re slipping from my touch.

Never been a cheater,
Not going to start it now,
Don’t ask me to do that,
I wouldn’t even know how.

Following morality,
Sticking to my guns,
Selfish fragment in me,
Wants my ideals to run.

You keep asking me to choose,
Isn’t it pretty apparent?
Made the decision,
I wont be lust rampant.

Regrets yes I carry those,
Plenty fill my barren being,
I will not make another one,
That I will keep seeing.

Battled with my morals,
Fought with illicit lust,
But being true to me,
I will not break his trust

Wouldn’t cheat on him,
Not for you or anyone,
Will not do it your way,
And so he has won.
