Since the interview thread was posted...

Both are two of my favorite MC's, and Eminem is much more well rounded... and even though Canibus seems like a dick according to Em's interview, I think I'm rooting for the underdog - Canibus.

I really want to see 'Bis go all out (and Em actually... which is why this would be such an ill battle if it was done properly), and maybe get some foothold in the industry again. He never got the right start, or a fair chance. He came off an underground rep like Em, but pissing off LL fucked his whole career up.

Eminem's main advantage for a diss is his sense of humor and colorful delivery. Canibus CAN be funny though... Rip the Jacker had hilarious lines, but the beat and delivery just didn't work. DL "LL diss (Live)" or something like that, and you can hear him originally perform it acapella in front of a crowd... the shit was hilarious.

Everyone has their own idea on what an inch is... until the ruler comes out.

You can have an opinion that he's pop, but if you don't have any proven and rational reasons behind said opinion... it just makes you look assinine.

Or if you in turn don't have any reasoning to why 'pop' is bad, then a statement like 'he's wack because he's pop' could never mean anything, or hold any value.

Sure Eminem has some songs that may come off as pop when you listen to them, thats using the general definition of popular music.
But eminem as well as many other rappers have an are using rock an Roll samples and even Rock and Roll beats. Why is it focused at being pop when it could easily be transfered to saying

"ohh Eminem is a rock an Roll retard, he's not a rapper"

Hip Hops branching out a fuckload more right now so of course the shits gonna have a different sound. Especially with Eminem, his voice isnt really Raspy and deep like alot of people precieve hardcore rap to be. Canibus is a great MC, i respect Canibus very much. Just look at some of his lyrics from songs and freestyles, alot of the shit is amazing. I believe he's anchored by Bad beats and hooks as well as the beefs with LL and eminem, plus his upsettin physical appearance. dont kid yourself, how you look is very important in the music industry.
