That's a pretty nice jazzy beat you have there. I'm not too sure on the end though it seems a bit out of place. Maybe if those higher notes came on in other places. Although I'd prefere endings that broke down and simplify, or become augemted, or that give focus to an underlying base layer. I like to think of the ending as more of a conclusion, the stucture music is very much like the structure of a story, so you don't introduce anything new. Anyway good work, I wish the beats I made sounded that good.

ummm, yeah, most beats by me(and everyone else) end with a few existing elements of a song faded out.. but every now and then I like to add a new element at the end, something I get from cypress hill.. And you metaphor is a shitty one, what your suggesting is that all endings be predictable, I like a surprise..
ya know I got mad love for you tho

A story can have a surprise ending, actually it's not my metaphore I stole it from a music class I took in college. All of the great composers made music the off the idea of story telling, it was often played with actors on stage acting out the story. That's where modern music came from. I do understand that it is art, so there are no real rules. I just like endings that are the sum of the rest of the musical piece, it could be a surprise but not a brand new theme, maybe something overlooked before.
