Chase

He sees me
I must hide
Anger flashes before his eyes
I run
Puffing and Panting
Feet stamping
He follows, catching up to me
I scream
One hand covers my mouth
The other starts to head south
No, not again
I struggle free
Adrenaline fills my veins
Running in the shadows
His feet pounding, his voice calling
I speed up
Branches whipping my face
Running blindly
My chest wheezing
I slow down
Crawling into bushes
Shivering and teeth chattering
Hugging my knees
I wait
His footsteps grow louder
Calling my name
He stops right next to me
I gasp
His head whips around
Walking slowly towards me
His hands reaching out
I’m doomed
He grabs my legs
Violently pulls me forward
Falling backwards
I grab for something
He crawls on top of me
He snickers in my face
Body weight crushing me
That’s the end of my chase
